At Housing Families, our commitment to ensuring housing stability has led us to the creation of our annual events. From fundraising efforts to policy discussions with Massachusetts officials, our events demonstrate our focus on achieving housing equity and wellbeing for all.
Legislative Breakfast
The Housing Families’ Legislative Breakfast 2026 will be held on April 1, 2026 at Anthony’s of Malden. The breakfast is presented by our Medical Advisory Committee.

As critical supports like healthcare & food assistance face continued cuts, housing remains the foundation that holds everything together. Stable housing enables families to focus on health, well-being, and long-term stability.
This year we will highlight why affordable housing must remain central to policy decisions and how investing in affordable housing pathways strengthens family well-being, reduces strain on other systems, and creates stronger communities.

Annual Holiday Drive
Each year, Housing Families hosts a holiday gift drive to support families in our programs. We are tremendously grateful to our 2025 drive donors and can’t wait to see you again for the 2026 Holiday Gift Drive!
Annual Housing Families Fun Run
Housing Families Fun Run is perfect for families, friends, colleagues, and anyone who wants to get outside and have fun. Enjoy a relaxed, untimed run/walk, plenty of food, games, and activities for all ages. Join us along the Malden River at the River’s Edge Park. The event is followed by an afterparty!

Summer Backpack Pack-a-thon
Every year, the Housing Families community comes together to donate and fill hundreds of backpacks with school supplies for students in our programs. These backpacks help ensure that every child starts the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.
This year, thanks to the generous support of our sponsor and hosts at Greystar, volunteers gathered to pack all the backpacks in one big event. The energy, teamwork, and commitment to our students made the day unforgettable.
