At Housing Families, our commitment to ensuring housing stability has led us to the creation of our annual events. From fundraising efforts to policy discussions with Massachusetts officials, our events demonstrate our focus on achieving housing equity and wellbeing for all.
The 2024 Legislative Breakfast will be held on Friday, April 26th, from 8:30-10:30am at Anthony’s of Malden.
We host this Annual Event with our client, community, and legislative partners to advocate for key policy and legislative initiatives that would improve housing equity and well-being for everyone across Greater Boston.
The Breakfast is presented by our Medical Advisory Committee.
Their focus is to demonstrate how the affordable housing shortage in our region impacts community health, and engage legislators to address the crises we face. This year we are focusing on how housing security impacts the health and wellbeing of youth in our community.

Annual Housing Families 5K
Started in 2020 as a virtual 5K amidst the pandemic, the Housing Families 5K serves as a meaningful way to come together for Homelessness Awareness Week in November. Participants can run, walk, or hike—from wherever they are, or join us in-person to complete the 5K along the Malden River at the River’s Edge Park. The event is followed by an afterparty at The Porch!
This year, the 5K was held on November 12, 2023. Check back for details for next year!
Young Professionals Advisory Council Events
The Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC) are young volunteer leaders who partner with Housing Families to learn about housing advocacy, build their networks and community relationships, and grow their professional skillsets, while striving to achieve housing equity and well-being for all.
YPAC’s 2023 Spring Fundraiser Event was a successful Community Art Night! Check back here for future events.
