What We Do
Housing
Housing is at our core. Whether emergency shelter or affordable housing, our team is here to help everyone navigate accessing stable housing.
Legal Services
We provide free legal help to prevent eviction and to support those facing homelessness.
To build skills and confidence for youth, Housing Families provides tutoring, after school programs and summer camps.
Mental health is supported through our trauma support services, which include counseling, therapy, and support groups for all ages.
Health & Wellbeing
Our clients have free access to culturally relevant and nutritious food, addressing food insecurity effectively.
Advocacy
We advocate for equitable government housing policies and aim to address the root causes of inequity.

Who We Are
Since 1986, Housing Families has provided critical services and resources to families and individuals to help them stabilize and thrive.
At Housing Families, we are working to achieve housing equity and wellbeing for all. As a nonprofit organization, we partner with communities, families, and individuals to ensure housing stability by offering personalized services including temporary and permanent housing, food assistance, individual counseling and group therapy, legal assistance, and youth programs. Housing Families is the only non-profit in Greater Boston to provide these holistic services under one umbrella.
