Housing Families recently renewed our partnership with the City of Everett through it’s Massachusetts Community Development Block Grant.

Each year, Housing Families partners with cities like Everett, as well as the Massachusetts Executive Offices of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC), to provide services in pursuit of housing equity.

Through our Homelessness Prevention and Legal Services Program (HPLSP), we provide no-cost legal representation, advocacy, advice, information, outreach, and referrals to low-income households in the City of Everett who would otherwise be unable to afford legal services. When available, the Program also distributes Direct Financial Assistance to alleviate extreme financial distress and allow clients to focus on their non-financial barriers to housing stability. Through this partnership, our HPLSP team increased the number of clients served in Everett from 420 last year to 660 so far this fiscal year!
