How To Help

Donate to Housing Families and help some of the the most vulnerable part of our community. “This is one of the first times in my life I remember feeling safe in my home.” – anonymous parent

Volunteer with Housing Families, a friendly, supportive organization with ample opportunities for those in the Greater Boston area who are looking to volunteer. If you want to learn more about the homeless situation in and around Boston while giving back to the community, Housing Families is the place for you!

Donate Items to Housing Families. Homeless families have to start all over again when they transition from shelter to a place of their own. Donating everyday items such as sheets, towels, pots and pans is a great way to help a family who has lost so much.

Donate a Meal – Cook or order a meal for delivery to support Housing Families’ efforts to end family homelessness.

Giving During the Holidays – Housing Families has opportunities for giving throughout the year. Mark your calendar for back to school time and give a child in need a new backpack filled with supplies, or provide that special toy during the holiday season. Seasonal Giving is a great way to get involved during these important times in a child’s life.

Your Gift’s Impact – Read about the many ways your donation helps those in need. From providing healthy snacks for children attending our after-school-program to helping a family find a place to call their own, your donations make an impact.
