Housing Families Inc., an organization providing housing and advocacy services for homeless families and children throughout Greater Boston, is hosting its 12th Annual Legislative Breakfast at Malden’s Irish American Club, 177 West Street on Tuesday, March 11 from 8-10 AM.
The Legislative Breakfast brings together legislators, homeless, and formerly homeless families to foster a solutions-focused dialogue on family homelessness, and to encourage families to share their experiences with elected officials. Topics to be discussed include affordable housing, eviction prevention programs, and increased funding for the Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (MRVP).
State lawmakers and municipal employees scheduled to attend include: State Auditor Suzanne Bump, Barbara Bishop on behalf of House Speaker Robert De Leo, Representative Paul Brodeur, Representative Paul Donato, Representative Christopher Fallon, Representative Jason Lewis, Malden Mayor Gary Christenson, Revere Mayor Dan Rizzo, Malden City Councilor Neal Anderson, Malden City Councilor Steven Ultrino, Medford City Councilor Breanna Lungo Koehn, Malden School Committee Member Maria Doucette.
