Housing Families Backpack Drive for Kids in Need
Malden, MA – Housing Families, a Malden-based agency that aims to end family homelessness in Massachusetts, has started its Annual Backpack Drive. From now until August 7th, the agency will collect new backpacks and school supplies for children at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. This year, Housing Families will be helping twice the number of children, and will need as many as 800 backpacks for the children in Housing Families’ programs.
Housing Families will collect and distribute new backpacks filled with school supplies are being collected and distributed to children in the program. The backpacks and supplies will send students back to school prepared for academic success and will help support Housing Families’ programs throughout the year.
Housing Families offers daily academic and emotional support to children from homeless and extremely low-income families.
