Gingerbread House Competition Benefits Housing Families

For the fifth consecutive year, Housing Families was invited to participate in the Gingerbread House Competition at the Boston Christmas Festival, an event that attracts more than 30,000 visitors. First rate chefs and bakers created extravagant gingerbread houses which were then judged by a celebrity panel of judges. The gingerbread houses were then sold to Housing Families’ generous donors who purchase them in support of the invaluable programs Housing Families, a non-profit dedicated to ending homelessness, provides the community. East Boston Savings Bank sponsored a beautiful creation and donated it to be displayed in the Mayor’s Office for families and children to enjoy. The sweet concoction with the theme “Everyone Deserves a Home” was created by Cherith, Jeff, Alex and Hannah Smith of Masonry Doctor.
