Eli Lipcon retired in 1988 at the ripe old age of 52. He spent the bulk of his career as an executive in finance and marketing at Digital Equipment Corporation. His final position at Digital Equipment was as Vice President for Consumer and Process Industries. Eli then spent five years at NYNEX/Bell Atlantic, as VP of General Business Markets, and then as VP of General Business Sales. He retired early to focus on volunteer nonprofit work, to take care of his wife Jan, who has had Multiple Sclerosis for 37 years, and to run marathons as a means of raising money for the MS Society.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Housing Families since 2004 as an officer and serving on various committees, Eli has also spent 17 years on the Board of Trustees for the Greater New England chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He recently completed a two-year term as Chair of the chapters Board of Trustees. Eli also provides pro bono consulting services to a variety of nonprofit organizations through an organization known as Executive Service Corps.
Eli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard University.
