The photography exhibit brings awareness to families struggling with homelessness. It will be on display throughout the month of October.
Medford City Hall will be hosting a photography exhibit which brings awareness to families struggling with homelessness. The exhibit, done by Meg Landers Photography, also breaks down the stigmas and assumptions associated with homelessness.
Malden-based social service agency Housing Families Inc. is sponsoring the event, which will run from Oct. 5 through Oct. 27.
The idea for the exhibit came from Housing Families’ Family Advocacy Program. Families expressed a desire to create a bridge between families experiencing homelessness and their communities. The group embarked on a mission to inform the public about the pervasiveness of family homelessness across the Commonwealth and to work to breakdown stigmas attached to homelessness.
